Paopao 2024 Oceanside Outrigger Challenge merch is sold out!

A heartfelt mahalo to friend of the club, Anela Joy Gutierrez, for creating such meaningful art for our 25th Annual Paopao Oceanside Outrigger Challenge.

Anela Joy Gutierrez, a mother, aunty, voyager, star navigator, serves as the Executive Director of the Hawaiian Outrigger Canoe Voyaging Society (HOCVS). With a deep passion for preserving Hawaiian culture, she works tirelessly to share her knowledge of Hawaiian canoe voyaging with groups and individuals worldwide.

HOCVS is dedicated to perpetuating the Hawaiian voyaging lifestyle. Their mission is to promote sustainability, environmental stewardship, and respect for both Mother Earth and humankind by preserving and educating others about Hawaiian culture through protocol, voyaging, and life on the canoe.
