Race Development Starts – November 19, Saturday 8:30AM
Aloha Team,
Welcome to a new year of Race development. I realize a lot of you have been waiting for this to begin. Well it’s here and we’re excited and ready to go. Race development is a program that’s meant to improve and develop good habits while increasing performance. Last year we emphasized conditioning, strength and balance. This year we are working on technique like breaking down the stroke and stressing the importance of the catch. We still expect racers to cross train and hit the gym often yet no machine can ever compensate for time on the water, hence why I support Winter Series Racing. More on that later but for now Race Development will begin Saturday November 19th at 8:30 AM. Because of the La Jolla shores race and the club luau on Nov. 12th we’ve decided to push Race Development off until the 11/19 Saturday after.., given the weather permits.
On another note****
First Winter Series Race is November 12th at La Jolla Shores in San Diego. All racers that own an OC1 or OC2 I encourage to participate in the series. Short course, long course it matters not, just get out there and do it. I am able to transport up to 13 canoes and will load your vessel Friday the day before the race. If you need your canoe transported call and make arrangements with me as you know now I have limited space.
See you November 19th and November 12th.
Thanks all,
Coach Nate.
